Kathryn grew up in Carmel Valley and began volunteering for MEarth while attending Carmel Middle School in 2009. She volunteered in the garden and developed a love for plants and the local environment during her time at Carmel Unified School District and returned from college over her summers to run MEarth summer camps. Kathryn now works as a Stewardship Educator at MEarth teaching kids about native plants, gardening, and sustainability. She received her B.S. in Environmental Science and minor in Biology at Western Washington University in Belllingham, WA and plans to pursue a career in secondary science education in the Pacific Northwest.
