LAUREN NOEL

Lauren Noel brings her background in both food and nutrition to the MEarth Board of Directors and is focused on expanding both adult and youth outreach. Lauren has been passionate about gardening and cooking since a young age, helping tend her childhood home garden in Kansas City and learning to cook from her mother. This passion has continued throughout her adult life, including utilizing hanging herb baskets outside bedroom windows and vegetable planters on fire escapes when living in bigger cities where traditional gardens were inaccessible.

Lauren graduated from Southern Methodist University with a BBA in Real Estate Finance and Markets and a BA in Markets and Culture. After eight years working in finance, Lauren decided to pursue her passion for cooking and attended culinary school in San Francisco. Through that program and in the years that followed, Lauren developed an interest in produce and teaching as a way to share the joy of cooking with others. After culinary school, Lauren worked with Le Petite Cuillere, Culinary Artistas, Parties that Cook and volunteered with 21 Reasons and CUESA, all of which focus on education and healthy eating habits. Lauren also earned a Holistic Nutrition Certification. Lauren and her husband live in Carmel Valley with their three young children and enjoy gardening and cooking, hiking and playing golf.
