Sarah Slade | Program Operations Coordinator

Sarah was born and raised on the Monterey Peninsula and joined MEarth as an intern from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies, where she earned her Master’s in Public Administration for Social Change. With a long history working for local small businesses, she’s a self-proclaimed “feet on the ground, head in the clouds” type and brings a community-rooted perspective to everything she does. Sarah is passionate about improving systems in holistic ways and creating spaces where synergy can thrive. She has a passion for local food systems and deeply believes they are key to a sustainable future. She’s always looking for an excuse to get creative with fresh, seasonal produce, and fun-fact: for her undergrad capstone, she wrote a cookbook emphasizing home cooking as an empowering tool of resistance in an industrialized food system.
