DANNY KALKE, ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP EDUCATOR

Growing up on the shores of Lake Ontario in Rochester NY, Danny gained an appreciation and respect for the natural world early on. From kayaking, fishing, and swimming in Lake Ontario to hiking and camping in the Adirondack Mountains, he spent as much time as he could outside growing up. Danny attended the University of Mary Washington and graduated with a degree in Political Science. During his studies, Danny gained an interest in environmental and energy policy and conservation efforts as a whole. Post graduation, wanting to further pursue his ambitions in environmental work and see more of the country, Danny served in Americorps as an environmental educator for Alder Creek Community Forest in Roseburg, Oregon. Danny is excited to join MEarth’s team and to share his curiosity and passion for the natural world with others. In his free time, Danny enjoys trail running, birding, and working on his photography skills.
