John Long is the founder and CEO of JVL Designs. For nearly 30 years, he has been a visionary leader in creating projects that fuse architecture, art and nature. He specializes in creating outdoor community spaces that are functional, aesthetically beautiful and an integration of natural elements, like fire and water, and structural design. In addition to his vast residential work, John’s projects include Post Ranch Inn in Big sur, Hulbert Estate in Scottsdale, AZ; Bar Bocce in Sausalito, CA, Cuvaison Winery in Napa, Berber in San Francisco and many others. John attended Arizona State University School of Architecture. He is the father of two children and splits his time between Mill Valley and Carmel Valley.
