Bill Cox is currently the District Sales Manager for US Foods in the Monterey/Santa Cruz area. He has been working in the food industry for the past 28 years, most of that time he was responsible for the Monterey Peninsula territory. He is currently on the Technology Council for US Foods, as well as the Emergency Response Team, which supports food service needs for Cal Fire and Federal Firefighters during California’s fire season. His employer is a Certified Green Business and is continuously improving energy and environmental efficiencies with solar panels, recycling, and battery technology. He was part of a food brokerage team that introduced Eco Products to the Bay Area, growing sales, but more importantly, spreading knowledge of the importance of utilizing compostable products. He is also on the Board for the American Culinary Federation, Monterey Bay Chapter which has synergies of promoting healthy eating through the ACF Chefs. As a young boy he was his father’s helper in the garden while they planted flowers, vegetables and fruits.“Being asked to be on the Board was an honor. It brings it full circle back to my youth. I know my Father would have loved MEarth”. In his spare time he enjoys landscape photography, especially Yosemite and the Big Sur Coast.
