Adventures in Food, Nature + Community

MEarth Summer Day Camps are immersive, inspiring week-long camps on the one-of-a-kind, 10-acre Hilton Bialek Habitat. Campers explore and harvest from our summer gardens, gain culinary skills in our state-of-the-art, LEED-certified classroom, and explore the wonders of the abundant plants and animals at the Habitat.

Join local artists and MEarth staff for a brand new creative adventure. Together we will explore the science of nature through art, observation, and gardening.Daily inspirational walks set the stage for nature journaling inspired by John Muir Laws and local Carmel High School graduate and naturalist Emilie Lygren. Camp days continue with a experts who will help cultivate observational discovery of local birds, mammals, insects, and native plants to inspire a day of creativity.  Highlights including eating our “ART” during a Garden-to-Table Pizza Lunch and upcycling a shirt by screen printing it with a personalized MEarth Logo. Your budding naturalists will explore the connections between art and nature at the 10-acre Hilton Bialek Habitat adjacent to the Carmel Middle School.

It’s never too early to start growing the next generation of eco-superstars! A community favorite from last year, MicroGreens invites our youngest campers to explore the magical wonders of MEarth’s bountiful summer gardens and diverse natural habitats. Sensory exploration, nature-inspired art, singing, storytelling, and introductory culinary skills will keep your MicroGreen busy and engaged!

Join us for an immersive, inspiring week on the one-of-a-kind, 10-acre Hilton Bialek Habitat. Campers explore the diversity of wildlife and native plants on the land, while planting and harvesting fruits and veggies in the organic garden. In our state-of-the-art, LEED-certified classroom, campers prepare MEarth’s bounty into tasty snacks daily. In addition to an abundance of hands-on activities and take home nature-based arts&crafts, campers will learn simple eco-practices to live a more sustainable life—and help their families shrink their carbon footprint too. Each week culminates in an unforgettable garden-to-table family lunch in the outdoor kitchen!

EcoCamp Weeks A and B are thematically similar, but with different daily activities. Campers are encouraged to enroll for both weeks. Participation in Week A is not required for enrollment in Week B.


Cancellation Policy
If your child is enrolled and unable to participate in summer camp, MEarth must be notified in writing as soon as possible, prior to the start date of your camp week. Our tuition refund policy regarding cancellation states the following:

15+ Days Advance Notice in Writing: 100% Refund less $25 Processing Fee
8 – 14 Days Advance Notice in Writing: 50% Refund less $25 Processing Fee
0 – 7 Days Advance Notice in Writing: No Refund


MEarth is committed to offering camp enrollment to youth in financial need. For 2018, both full and partial scholarships are available for award to eligible youth.

Scholarships are no longer available for Summer 2018
